Abrie Maritz (CEO)
Abrie has experience in the mining sector since 1981 where he worked as a electro technician and in the last 18 years he has worked in civil construction. He started his own company, Maritz Siviel and he built the company up from the ground to a successful civil construction and plant hire company civil construction challenges in Northern Cape. Concentrating on concrete water retaining structures, bridges, concrete rehabilitation, power stations, alternative energy solutions and pipe lines. In the past two years Maritz Siviel grew to be one of the largest local construction & plant hire companies in the Northern Cape. Maritz Siviel is a plant hire with a very strong basis and an extensive range of plant skilled personnel.
Jim Besnaar
Jim was born and matriculated in Warrenton, Northern Cape Province, studied BCom and Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting at the University of Cape Town. Joined PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2002 and successfully completed his CA(SA) articles in 2004 and provincial governments structures. Jim was appointed to the position of the CEO in 2007 and with his manufacturing and rental of Plant and equipment. Jim is a council member of South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) central region and member of the Free state and Northern Cape provincial audit committees , former chairperson of the Northern Cape provincial treasury, Department of Education and Tourism and
Economic development audit committees.
Andries Krüger
Andries' engineering background started in 1994 at DWA. He gained experience on structures, storm water systems, pump stations and water network, WWTW’s, water treatment works, roads, irrigation systems and project management. He is actively involved in the mining sector since 2009. He successfully completed diplomas in Mechanical and Civil Engineering, NQF 7, advance project management, has B Tech degree in civil engineering and is professionally registered as a Technologist.
